Summer Internship for University Students in Germany (Introduction)
Every summer, DESY provides internship opportunities for university students in the field of physics or natural sciences with a research focus in the laboratories located in Hamburg or Zeuthen, Germany. The activities of this internship involve working on a research project in one of the laboratories, with most of the work being on-site, although there are some projects that may be conducted remotely. For students working on-site, the working hours will be approximately 39 hours per week. Remote projects are unpaid and require a strong and stable internet connection. In addition to project work, there is also a lecture program available in English, making this the summer training for students of the College of Sciences in 2023. Applicants must have received a fully recognized vaccine in European countries.
DESY is one of the distinguished research centers in Europe and houses a large number of advanced facilities to aid in new discoveries in scientific research. Each year, this center welcomes around 3000 researchers from various countries around the world and is a research center affiliated with the Helmholtz Association. The center offers an annual summer internship for students from all countries to experience scientific research with experts in the field.
