Eligibility Requirements for the Scholarship
- Candidates must have at least a bachelor’s degree or be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program with graduation expected by August 31, 2025.
- Applicants must be between the ages of 23 and 28.
- The applicant must have completed their degree by August 31, 2024.
- An excellent academic record is required.
- Proficiency in English is necessary, with certified proof.
- Candidates must be able to reside in Beijing during the master’s program.
- TOEFL and IELTS test results will not be accepted if dated before September 1, 2023.
- Yenching Academy does not accept TOEFL MyBest Scores or TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition scores.
- Knowledge of Chinese is not required, as international students receive compulsory Chinese language courses.

Required Documents
Candidates can apply through the online application portal of Yenching Academy. Each applicant must create an account on the Yenching Academy admission portal and submit the following documents in English:

- Personal statement (750 words or less)
- Research interest statement (maximum 1500 words, excluding citations)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Official academic transcript
- Diploma or certificate of enrollment
- Two academic letters of recommendation
- International applicants whose native language is English, or who have graduated from a program taught in English (undergraduate or higher), are not required to submit an English proficiency test report.
