- Miscellaneous expenses donotinclude administrative fees, thesis supervision, insurance, accommodation, or internet access.
Additional Discounts:
- Some universities may offer additional discounts, which are reported annually to the MOE.
Scholarship Duration
- Total Duration:Up to5 yearsper individual.
- Undergraduate Programs:Maximum4 years.
- Master’s Programs:Maximum2 years.
- Doctoral Programs:Maximum4 years.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be aforeign nationalwith a high school diploma or a post-secondary degree.
- Must have an excellent academic record and good moral character.
Ineligible Applicants:
- ROC nationals or overseas Chinese students.
- Students currently enrolled in a Taiwanese university.
- Applicants who have previously studied in Taiwan for the same degree level.
- Exchange or dual/joint degree students.
- Individuals who have previously received a Taiwan Scholarship for5 yearsin total.
- Recipients of other Taiwan government scholarships (except for university-specific subsidies for excess tuition).
- Individuals who had a Taiwan Scholarship or MOE Huayu Enrichment Scholarship revoked.
