The Lester B. Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Pearson International Scholarship, the applicant must:

Be an international student (i.e., a non-Canadian who requires a study permit).
Be in the final year of secondary school in 2025/2026 or have graduated no earlier than June 2025.
Intend to begin undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto in September 2026 (applications from students currently enrolled at another post-secondary institution are not accepted).

Selection Criteria

How to Apply

To begin the application process the applicant must:

Obtain a school nomination: The high school must nominate the student for the scholarship through this link.
Apply to the University of Toronto: The student must apply to an academic program at the university by October 17, 2025 through this link. (Please be advised that you will be considered for the Pearson Scholarship for your first choice of program at U of T. You may apply for several programs and may receive admission to them all; however, the Pearson Scholarship, if awarded to you, would be restricted to your first choice of program at U of T at the time our scholarship decisions are made.)
Submit the scholarship application form: After receiving the nomination and applying to the university, the student will receive a private link to complete the Pearson Scholarship application form, which must be completed by November 6, 2025.
Submit documents: All required documents must be submitted electronically by the deadline.

Important Deadlines

School nomination deadline: October 10, 2025.
University application deadline: October 17, 2025.
Scholarship application and document submission deadline: November 6, 2025.
Notification of results: From January to May 2026.
