Eligibility Criteria
Basic Requirements
- Good mental and physical health
- Non-Chinese citizenship
- Commitment to Chinese laws and university regulations
- Not receiving any other scholarship simultaneously
Additional Requirements
- For master’s: Bachelor's degree holders under 35 years old
- For PhD: Master’s degree holders under 40 years old
- Applicants may provide proof of academic, sports, artistic achievements, or social participation (optional).
Language Requirements:
Chinese-taught programs:
- HSK4 with a minimum score of 180 (valid for 2 years)
- If previous program was taught in Chinese, a Chinese-language certificate can be provided instead of HSK
- No English certificate required
English-taught programs:
- TOEFL ≥ 80 or IELTS ≥ 6.0 (minimum 5.5 in each section)
- If previous program was in English, a language certificate from the previous university is acceptable
- No Chinese language certificate required
Required Documents
Any document not in Arabic or Chinese must be translated and notarized into English or Chinese
- Chinese Government Scholarship application form (English/Chinese)
- Copy of passport
(passport must be valid at least until September 2026) - Highest graduation certificate (certificate of expected graduation accepted; original required at registration)
- Academic transcripts from bachelor’s and above (if applicable), stamped by the institution
- Language certificate
- Supervisor acceptance letter (optional and recommended)
- Study or research plan of no less than 1500 words; supervisor signature required for PhD
- Two recommendation letters from professors/associate professors
- Portfolio for arts/design majors (if applicable)
- For applicants under 18: legal guardian documents in China
- Foreigner physical examination form (valid for 6 months, must include hospital stamp, sealed photo, and doctor’s signature)
- Police clearance certificate (issued within 6 months before application)
- Application fee receipt: 400 RMB or 60 USD
Important Note:Any document fraud will result in rejection or cancellation of admission and expulsion if discovered after enrollment.
