King Saud University (KSU) in Riyadh announces the opening of applications for the King Saud University Initiative 2025-26.

This initiative offers fully funded scholarships for both local and international students wishing to pursue their PhD studies at King Saud University. The scholarship covers full tuition fees, a generous monthly stipend, university housing, and health insurance. Additionally, students receive support for relocation to Saudi Arabia and the opportunity to work in the Kingdom for one year after graduation. The initiative is aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to foster global scientific collaboration and strengthen the university’s role as a center for innovation and excellence.

About King Saud University:

King Saud University (KSU) is an independent, non-profit academic institution operating under the Royal Commission for Riyadh City.

It is the second university established in Saudi Arabia, following Umm Al-Qura University. The foundation of higher education in the Kingdom began when King Abdulaziz ordered the establishment of the College of Sharia in Mecca in 1369 AH, making it the first university-level educational institution in Saudi Arabia.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a master’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • Demonstrate English proficiency through one of the following tests:

    • TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 61

    • IELTS: Minimum score of 6

    • STEP: Minimum score of 85

    • Exemption for graduates from the USA, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand.

  • Submit two recommendation letters.

  • Provide a CV, including any published research or patents (if available).

  • Submit a strong statement of purpose.

  • GRE test is optional unless required by the specific program.

  • Candidates may be required to attend a personal interview (virtual or in-person).
