The Loughborough Development Trust Africa Scholarship will pay for all of your chosen postgraduate course fees for one year. If you've already received scholarships or financial aid from the department or Loughborough University, this scholarship will replace them.

The University is only giving out a few scholarships, and they have high standards.

You'll need to find other ways to pay for your travel and living expenses. Make sure to show proof of how you'll cover these costs when you apply for the scholarship.

Conditions 

To apply for the scholarship, you need to have already received an offer to study a postgraduate course. Once you have your offer, you can download the application form from below and apply.

Your application will be reviewed by a panel of senior university staff. They will look at:

  1. Being from Africa and living there permanently.
  2. Having excellent academic performance, usually with a first-class degree.
  3. Planning to go back to your home country after finishing your studies.
  4. Showing that you'll make a big difference in your home country when you return.
  5. Understanding all the costs of studying and living in the UK.
  6. Being motivated and proactive in finding funds to cover any remaining costs.
