The Arab Researchers Fellowship Program for Displaced Individuals in Qatar is a scholarship initiative for refugees affected by war. There are 30 million people in the Arab world who are either internally displaced or refugees. In recognition of the increasing cases of forced displacement in the region and the responsibility to support vulnerable academic communities, QRDI has launched the Displaced Arab Researchers (DAR) Fellowship Program. This program offers experts from Palestine, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen—whose careers have been impacted by conflict—the opportunity to continue their research in collaboration with universities in Qatar.
The DAR Fellowship Program provides displaced scientists with the opportunity to continue their professional lives and maintain their expertise and skills during times of crisis. Through collaboration between displaced experts and universities, as well as research institutions in Qatar, the program enhances the country’s reputation as a center of scientific excellence. The fellowship is open to applicants from Palestine, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen who are interested in pursuing research opportunities in Qatar. As a fixed-term fellowship, DAR aims to prepare scientists for their future return, enabling them to rebuild academic networks and infrastructure in their home countries, thus ensuring a lasting impact on regional development.
