Every year, youth from around the world are invited to attend the Youth Conference in China at Peking University, the country's premier national university. Approximately 100 young individuals are accepted with full funding to participate in this conference. The theme for this conference is 'Equilibrium: Our World in Balance.' The event will bring together international researchers, professionals, and youth from various specialties and nationalities for constructive dialogue on prominent global and China-related issues. Conference Attendance Requirements:

  1. The applicant must be born after April 11, 1993.
  2. Must be in the final year of undergraduate studies or hold a bachelor's degree.
  3. Open to all fields of study.
  4. Able to attend the conference from April 11 to 14, 2024.
  5. Proficiency in the English language.
  6. Have not attended previous Yenching Symposiums or Yenching Social Innovation events.
  7. Possess a strong interest in China.

Tips for Successful Application to Attend the Youth Conference:

  1. If you don't want to submit the application form at once, save your answers in an external Word file, as there is no save feature in the application form.
  2. Each essay question should not exceed 300 words.
  3. Incomplete or late submission of application forms will not be considered.
  4. If English is not your first language and you haven't graduated from an English-language program, demonstrate your English proficiency. Ideally, provide a certificate from international exams such as IELTS (7), TOEFL (100), or Cambridge (180). If you haven't taken these exams, the evaluation of your English proficiency may be based on the application form, and the judging committee may request further evidence.
  5. No fees will be required.
