The Visiting Student Research Program (VSRP) is a cool internship where smart students from around the world can do research in science, technology, engineering, and math. You get to work with our great teachers in awesome labs. Your discoveries won’t just be in journals; they’ll also help solve real-world problems that affect society.
Internship at KAUST
To apply for the VSRP internship, choose a project from the list below. We have over 100 projects in 16 STEM disciplines. Each project, lasting 3-6 months, covers airfares, housing, health insurance, and a monthly stipend.

Eligible countries: Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Djibouti, Algeria, Iraq, Jordan, Comoros, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Somalia, Syria, Tunisia, Yemen, all countries around the world.
Students admitted into the program receive:

New research projects have been added in the following areas:
- Cybersecurity
- Environmental Science and Engineering
- Earth Science and Engineering
- Computer Science
- Applied Mathematics and Computational Science
Who can apply:
- Students in their 3rd year or beyond in their undergraduate studies.
- Master's students can also apply.
- If you're currently doing a PhD, or you're already a KAUST student or graduate, sorry, you can't apply this time.
- You need a good GPA – at least 3.5 out of 4, or 14 out of 20 (that's like a B in ECTS).
- You should be really good at English, both speaking and writing.
- It's suggested to have a TOEFL score of at least 79 (if you're taking the Internet Based Test) or an IELTS score of 6.5.

- Official transcripts in English from your current and past schools.
- A letter of recommendation.
- A valid passport.
- A statement of purpose.
- Your curriculum vitae (CV).
