Held at the University of Bonn in Germany, the Summer School features top international speakers and trainers, including AGYA members and alumni. They will guide participants through the innovative field of AI from various perspectives.
The event is open to undergraduate and graduate students from all fields of technical, life, natural, social sciences, humanities, and arts who have a strong interest in AI. Applicants should be from a university or research institution in Germany or any Arab country and must have an excellent command of English.

The Summer School is dedicated to developing teaching modules that are informed by the latest AI developments and tailored to the specific needs and resource limitations of low-income countries in the MENA region. This three-day program will provide participants with the latest knowledge of affordable AI technologies to address common challenges in their fields in Germany and the Arab world. The modules will focus on the following topics:
Python Participants will learn Python, a widely used programming language in AI and machine learning.
Mathematics & Statistics Participants will build a solid foundation in statistics and mathematics, essential for understanding and working with AI and machine learning algorithms.
Analytical Thinking The Summer School will enhance participants' analytical thinking skills, crucial for problem-solving in AI and machine learning.
The program provides insights into AI applications in various fields along with hands-on training.
AI & Health Exploring how AI can be applied to improve healthcare and medical research.
AI & Robotics Understanding the integration of AI with robotics for advanced technological solutions.
AI & Climate Change Investigating the role of AI in addressing and mitigating climate change.
The accommodation and travel costs for accepted participants will be covered by AGYA. Funding is still subject to approval.
We encourage participation from a variety of academic backgrounds to foster knowledge transfer and collaborative learning among approximately 30 students and graduates, and 12 faculty members from Germany and Arab countries.
