Dreaming of traveling to China? GRIPS Summer Research Internship 2025 in China gives you the chance! It is a fully-funded summer internship program organized by four of China’s most prestigious universities (Zhejiang University, University of Science and Technology of China, Fudan University, and Nanjing University) in the Yangtze River Delta region of China.

The program aims to invite 200 students from all over the world from different universities to participate in a summer research internship at one of these universities. The duration of the internship is 5 to 6 weeks, and it lasts from June to August 2025. This program provides students with a live experience of research at top Chinese universities. There is no application fee, and the GRIPS program covers all expenses.

The GRIPS Summer Internship Program will be hosted at Zhejiang University, University of Science and Technology of China, Fudan University, or Nanjing University. Participants will select a research project and be hosted at one of these universities located in Hangzhou, Hefei, Shanghai, and Nanjing.

Zhejiang University (ZJU):
One of the earliest institutions of higher education in China, ZJU is now a leading research university under the direct administration of the Chinese Ministry of Higher Education. It has consistently been ranked among the top universities in China in terms of its academic strengths in teaching, research and social service.
University of Science and Technology of China (USTV):
The university was ranked 93rd in the world and 4th in China according to the QS World University Rankings 2020.
Fudan University:
Fudan University is one of the most prestigious universities in China. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the country, consistently ranked among the top universities in China and is known for its research and teaching excellence. The university also has a strong international presence, with students from all over the world studying at Fudan.
Nanjing University:
Nanjing University is ranked 8th in the BRICS rankings and 23rd in the Asia rankings. The university has a student body of around 30,000 students.

How to apply for the GRIPS Summer Internship Program 2025?

Prepare all the required documents listed below in advance.
When filling out the application form, you can choose a maximum of two supervisors from among the supervisors at four host universities, but you will only be accepted into one supervised project.
Fill out the online application form.
Submit your application online no later than March 9, 2025.
