KAIST Advanced Institute for Science-X (KAI-X) is inviting students to apply for its research internship in South Korea. The KAIST Summer Research Internship 2024 is open to international undergraduate and master’s students interested in doing research at KAIST laboratories. This paid internship lasts for 8 weeks, from June 24 to August 16, 2024.

The internship is ideal for students studying natural sciences like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, cognitive science, and Medical Science. Unfortunately, doctoral program students cannot apply for this internship, but they can find other opportunities on our website.

KAIST Advanced Institute for Science-X (KAIST AIS-X) focuses on promoting eco-friendly innovation and developing future researchers. The 2024 Summer KAI-X Research Internship provides hands-on experience in cutting-edge scientific research, emphasizing sustainability and environmental responsibility. Interns work with respected faculty members on projects aimed at finding eco-friendly solutions for global challenges, helping create a greener and more sustainable world.

During the internship, participants explore interdisciplinary research areas such as renewable energy, environmental conservation, and green technology. Details regarding expenses and benefits:

Round-trip airfare costs will be covered, with a maximum limit of 1 million KRW.
Dormitory accommodation expenses should not exceed 500,000 KRW.
Participants will have the opportunity to go on a campus tour.
You will gain research experience in one of the top research laboratories in South Korea.

The eligibility criteria for the KAIST Summer Research Internship 2024:

Candidates must be undergraduate or master’s students.
Current doctoral students cannot apply.
Applicants must hold citizenship outside of Korea.
Those interested in natural science fields like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Brain & Cognitive Science, and Medical Science are welcome to apply.

Note:

If selected, you will be assigned to one laboratory based on the three preferences you have provided. You will then participate in research activities for the duration of the internship.
