Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) is a leading international organization dedicated to accelerating the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7) and the goals set forth in the Paris Agreement. Our mission is to ensure universal access to sustainable energy by 2030 while reducing greenhouse gas emissions and mitigating climate change. Through our collaboration with government leaders, the private sector, and civil society, we are driving a radical shift in the way energy is produced, distributed, and consumed, leaving no one behind.

SEforALL's Origins and Role

SEforALL was initially launched as an initiative by the 8th UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, in 2012. Over time, it has evolved into an independent organization while maintaining strong ties with the United Nations. Our relationship agreement with the UN and partnerships with UN agencies reinforce our commitment to advancing sustainable energy access globally.

Furthermore, SEforALL's CEO serves as the UN Secretary-General's Special Representative (SRSG) for Sustainable Energy for All and Co-Chair of UN-Energy. These roles entail advising the UN Secretary-General and his staff on sustainable energy matters, including the implementation of SDG7, while also supporting the coordination of sustainable energy initiatives within the UN system.

Interns will actively participate in planning, delivering, and implementing SEforALL's project activities. Their responsibilities may include:

Preparation and Production of Documents: Contributing to the preparation and production of documents, reports, and working papers that disseminate key findings and recommendations.
Research and Analysis: Conducting research and reviewing existing materials to gather insights and support evidence-based decision-making.
Data Collection and Analysis: Collecting and analyzing data to inform policy recommendations and identify trends in sustainable energy access.
Meeting Participation: Engaging in meetings with stakeholders to contribute to discussions and provide valuable input.
Process Improvement: Collaborating with teams within SEforALL to review and streamline processes, as well as develop guides and frameworks for enhanced efficiency.
Knowledge Development: Working alongside experts within SEforALL to develop knowledge products and implementation strategies that leverage the organization's diverse skill set.

Master scholarship in Canada

eligibility criteria:

Aspiring interns should be enrolled in a relevant Master's or PhD degree program or have recently graduated with a Master's or Ph.D.
Fluency in written and spoken English is required, and knowledge of other UN languages such as French and Arabic is highly desirable.
We value candidates who possess strong communication and IT skills, are adept at working in multicultural teams, and can adapt to an international work environment.
