Why To Study in Singapore?
Singapore is a small but very distinctive country, serving as a melting pot of cultures where food, cleanliness, and shopping are taken seriously. Singapore has received numerous accolades for its competitive educational system, characterized by progressive, digital, and global thinking.
Foreign students who are adventurous and ambitious and are interested in broadening their horizons and experiencing life abroad will find that Singapore meets the desires of many, regardless of their interests.
Here are some reasons why studying in Singapore is a great choice:
Learn English or Mandarin in Singapore
About 70% of Singapore's population speaks English and/or Mandarin, with both languages widely used throughout the city. You will have plenty of opportunities to practice learning in the classroom and in the real world.
Experience a Blend of Cultures
This Asian city combines the best of the East and West. Singaporean culture consists of Chinese, Malay, Indian, and various other ethnicities and expatriates, making it one of the most diverse cultures in the world.
Singapore is a Food Lover's Paradise
There’s no place like Singapore where you can have breakfast in Little India, lunch in Chinatown, and enjoy seafood for dinner. Although Singapore is home to many globally renowned Michelin-starred restaurants, locals know that the best food in Singapore is found in hawker centers.
Ease of Visiting Other Asian Countries
While Singapore is a small country, it is very close to other fantastic Asian destinations that you can easily explore over the weekend. For example, the flight from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur takes just under an hour, while Phuket in Thailand is less than two hours away. Sentosa Island is another wonderful destination that can be visited without leaving Singapore, where you can explore Universal Studios, take a ferry to Sisters Island to snorkel through vibrant coral reefs, or relax on palm-lined beaches.
Make Friends with People from Around the World
The cultural melting pot, the vibrant food scene in this safe city, and its proximity to other Asian countries make Singapore a top study destination for international students. With its highly ranked universities, the city attracts people from all over the world, making it an ideal place to mingle with other international students and make new friends to explore Singapore with.
