Eligibility Criteria for Applying to Study in Austria for Free

Postgraduate student pursuing a doctoral degree in an institution outside Austria.
Postgraduate or postdoctoral students seeking to continue research in Austria for an academic career and have completed their studies at a non-Austrian university after September 30, 2023.
Postdoctoral researchers working as lecturers at a non-Austrian university.
Maximum age limit is 35 years.
Must not have studied in Austria in the last 6 months prior to receiving support from this program.
Proficiency in English or German is required

Required Documents for Studying in Austria

Two recommendation letters from your university professor, dated and not older than 6 months.
Approval of supervision from a professor in Austria.
Copy of your passport.
Graduation certificate for the diploma, master's, or doctoral degree.
For Ph.D. students, proof of enrollment in a Ph.D. program in your home country.
For academic lecturers, proof of your appointment in an academic institution.
