Summer Research Program in China 2025

Overview

The Future Scientist Exchange Program (FuSEP) is a set of programs started by USTC. Its goal is to bring talented young scientists from around the world together to share ideas and solve global problems using science and technology. The 2024 FuSEP Summer Student Program focuses on Science and Technology for a Shared Future. It brings together top researchers from different fields at USTC. This program offers an exciting journey through science and technology without any limits. It's a great chance to learn and do hands-on research while having an amazing summer experience. Selected students will get to be part of a diverse community where they can talk, work, and learn from each other.

Details

Duration:

Undergraduates can join the program from July 1st to August 25th, for 4 to 8 weeks, with a minimum of 4 weeks commitment.

Graduates can participate from July 1st to July 30th, for one month.

Fields of Study: Physics, Chemistry, Materials Sciences, Life Sciences, Medicine, Earth and Space Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, and Computer Science, and related majors.

Place: University of Science and Technology in China

Countries:

Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Djibouti, Algeria, Iraq, Jordan, Comoros, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Somalia, Syria, Tunisia, Yemen, all countries worldwide.

  • USTC Fellowship for excellent students which may include a travel grant, insurance, and local accommodation;
  • Certificate of Participation and Performance Evaluation;
  • International students who apply for degree programs in the future will be given priority for winning a sponsorship if they have obtained the certificate of the program

Qualifications:

  • Must remain a full-time registered student at your home university throughout your stay at USTC.
  • Undergraduate or graduate students majoring in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Sciences, Life Sciences, Medicine, Earth and Space Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Should have completed at least two years of full-time undergraduate studies in the relevant major by the Summer of 2024.
  • Demonstrated academic excellence with a CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 'B' or above.
  • Proficient in the English language.
