TWAS will also cover expenses related to visa.
TÜBİTAK will provide a monthly allowance to cover accommodation and living expenses.

Both the host institutions will cover all study fees including tuitions and registration fees.

Eligibility Criteria for TWAS-TÜBİTAK Fellowship 2025 in Turkey:

Candidates applying must:

Check the list of eligible countries.
Be permanent residents of a developing country in the South.
Not be older than 35 years of age.
Be enrolled in a PhD program in their home country or another developing country, except Turkey.
Have passed the PhD qualifying exam or be in the final stage of their PhD.
Submit a letter from their PhD thesis advisor confirming that they are fully engaged in the research laboratory work for their PhD thesis.
Have good proficiency in English, as the language of instruction will be English.
Not have a visa for temporary or permanent residence in Turkey or any other developed country.
Not already be living in Turkey.
Hold a master’s degree or equivalent in natural and related applied sciences.
Be registered for a doctoral degree in natural and related applied sciences at a university in their home country or another developing country.
Not work on other assignments during the fellowship.
Cover the expenses of their family by themselves.
Not have received this fellowship before.
Return to their home country after completing this fellowship program.
