Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Fire Ecology and Machine Learning

The Earth Observation and Spatial Ecology Lab, a part of the Department of Earth, Environmental, and Geographic Sciences at the Okanagan campus of the University of British Columbia, is seeking applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Fellow position. This position is for a duration of 2 years, with the possibility of an extension based on project progress and funding availability. The selected candidate will work under the guidance of Dr. Mathieu Bourbonnais and collaborate with Rogers Communications Ltd. Their primary responsibilities will involve leading the development of cloud-based predictive models for fire risk and fire behavior.
