General Information

Goal 6: Availability of Water and Sanitation Services for All
Ensuring access to clean and easily obtainable water for everyone is a fundamental part of the world we want to live in. There is enough freshwater on Earth to achieve this dream. However, due to poor economic programs or inadequate infrastructure, millions of people, mostly children, die every year from diseases related to insufficient water supply, sanitation, and hygiene.

International Water Association (IWA)
The IWA was established in 1999 through the merger of the International Association of Water Quality (IAWQ), founded in 1965, and the International Water Services Association (IWSA).

It is an independent non-governmental organization aimed at exchanging information and experiences in all aspects, both theoretical and practical, of water supply, wastewater, water quality, and water quantity management.
