Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

Non-Japanese Citizenship: You should not hold Japanese citizenship.
Enrollment in a Japanese University: You must be enrolled in a Japanese university, starting from April 2025, or currently in the application process to begin your studies in Japan by April 2025.
Study Duration: The duration of your studies in Japan should be more than 12 months.
Age Requirement: Your age should not exceed 35 for doctoral programs and 30 for master's programs.
Strong Intention to Return: You should have a strong intention to return to your home country and a well-defined career plan.
Understanding of International Relations: You should have a good understanding of international relations and be willing to participate in organization-specific seminars and become part of the alumni network.
Japanese Language Proficiency: You should be capable of conversing in the Japanese language.
No Other Scholarships: You should not be a recipient of any other scholarships.

Required Documents for Applying for Scholarships in Japan

To apply for the scholarships in Japan, you will need the following documents:

Passport-sized Photo: A personal photo with a file size not exceeding 500 KB.
Two-Minute Video: A video presentation lasting up to two minutes, where you discuss your research plan. The video file should not exceed 1 GB in size. You can speak in either English or Japanese.
Transcript of Grades: A copy of your academic transcript.
Research Proposal: A detailed research proposal outlining your intended research project.
Letter of Recommendation: A letter of recommendation from a professor at your university. This letter should be sent to [email protected] before the application deadline and must include your name and your application form number. Alternatively, recommendation letters can be uploaded directly and should include the recommender's signature.
Letter of Acceptance from a Japanese University: If available, a document confirming your acceptance to a Japanese university.
