Benefits

  • The length of Category I internships shall be between three to six months. Interns in Category I shall receive a monthly stipend of 1,570 Swiss francs including local transportation allowance. The above is applicable to all interns assigned to WIPO Headquarters in Geneva.

  • The length of Category II internships shall be between three and twelve months. This category of interns shall receive a monthly stipend of 2,070 Swiss francs including local transportation allowance. The above is applicable to all interns assigned to WIPO Headquarters in Geneva.

  •  Interns who are nationals of developing or Least Developed Countries (LDCs), and who are residing in their home country at the time of recruitment may be eligible for reimbursement of travel expenses (roundtrip) up to a maximum of 1,500 Swiss francs.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Individuals pursuing or having obtained a university degree
  • For those pursuing a first-level university degree, applicants must be in their third or fourth year of study or in a program that mandates an internship to fulfill degree requirements
  • Graduates can apply for an internship up to two years after completing their most recent university degree or postgraduate studies.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in computer skills such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant IT programs and applications.
  • Good analytical skills.

Languages:

  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Excellent drafting skills in English required for most internships.
  • Knowledge of any of the WIPO working languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish) would be an advantage.
